Registration takes about three minutes. What is entered during those three minutes decides whether a first withdrawal clears in two days or two weeks, because every field is checked again later against identity documents. What is needed before starting
- A government-issued photo ID — passport, driving licence or provincial ID card, in date. Details entered at sign-up must match it exactly.
- A Canadian residential address, supportable by a utility bill or bank statement dated within three months.
- A payment method in the account holder's own name. Third-party cards and wallets are refused at payout, and that refusal usually arrives after a win rather than before.
- Legal age for the province of residence — 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, 19 everywhere else.

Select a province
This is the first and most consequential choice. Selecting Ontario routes the registration to a separately licensed platform operating under an AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario agreement. Every other province is served under Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence 00892.
Why this matters later: the two platforms have different lobbies, different promotions and different complaint routes. Create login credentials
A username and password are set here. The password field accepts letters and numbers only, which rules out the symbol-heavy strings most password managers generate by default.
Why this matters later: a password generated automatically and then silently truncated is the most common cause of a failed first login. Generate it inside the field's own constraints and save it immediately.

Enter personal details
Full name, date of birth, telephone number and email address. Every one of these is compared against the identity document at verification.
Why this matters later: a shortened first name is not the name on a passport. "Mike" against a document reading "Michael" is enough to send verification back for a second round, and the email address entered here becomes the only route for a password reset.

Choose a currency
Canadian dollars are supported alongside more than a dozen other currencies. The choice is made once and cannot be changed afterwards without closing the account and opening a new one.

Confirm the address and accept the terms
The billing address is entered last, followed by acceptance of the terms and conditions and the bonus terms.

Age is enforced through identity verification, not at the registration screen, which is why an underage account can appear to work for a time before being closed. When that happens the account is terminated and winnings are forfeited — the deposit is normally returned, the winnings are not. One account per person, per household and per payment method is the standard rule, and it is applied on the basis of documents rather than declarations.

How long does Royal Vegas registration take?

Can the account currency be changed after signing up?
